ProSymphony
Founded in 1947, ProSymphony was the first organized women's group to support the Lansing Symphony Orchestra, and made the initial contribution to the Symphony Endowment Fund. ProSymphony's services include hosting rehearsal coffees for the orchestra and providing greeters at MasterWorks concerts and ushers for the LSO Youth Concerts. ProSymphony also hosts an Annual Geranium Sale Fundraiser which raises thousands of dollars for the LSO's Educational and Orchestral programs. ProSymphony's current President is Boots Teddy.
ProSymphony meetings are luncheons in September and June and a supper gathering in the spring. Annual dues are $20. Contact the Symphony office for additional information about membership.
Geranium Sale Fundraiser
A true harbinger of spring, the ProSymphony Geranium Sale offers the finest, most beautiful geranium plants, grown from cuttings not seed. Proceeds from the sale, which includes many other floral varieties, benefit the Lansing Symphony Orchestra.
The 2010 Geranium Sale was held Tuesday, May 18, 2010.
