Lansing Town Hall Celebrity Lecture Series: Caroline Winterer
Caroline Winterer is an American historian at Stanford, where she holds the William Robertson Coe Professorship. She is committed to showing how the past can be exciting, relevant, and unstuffy. She has written 5 books and writes for the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Review of Books.
Ms. Winterer’s presentation will be on “The Remarkable Genius of Benjamin Franklin”. Her lecture will focus on Franklin’s most ingenious inventions and path-breaking ideas. She will take us from electricity to bifocals, to the glass harmonica, and to Franklin himself.
