Auditions will take place Friday, April 17th, 2026 at the Wharton Center beginning at 10 AM

Music will be provided at the auditions for the stage and warm up rooms. Candidates should use their own music to prepare for the auditions.
Please submit your resume and audition deposit to claire@lansingsymphony.org. Audition deposits will be accepted through cash or check mailed to the LSO Office:

OR by filling out this form and submitting it with your resume. Deadline to apply is Friday, April 10th at 5 PM.
Please note that if you do not show up on the day of your audition or notify the operations coordinator of your cancellation one week prior to your audition, you will be charged the audition deposit of $20.
The LSO performs on a per service basis. The principal per service rate for the 2026-2027 season is: $137.68. Musicians will also receive travel if coming from outside of the Lansing area and parking reimbursement.
The LSO presents 5 MasterWorks and 3 Pops concerts at the Wharton Center for Performing Arts each subscription season. Additionally, the LSO offers both a classical and contemporary chamber series, education performances, neighborhood concerts, summer concerts, and a Winterlude performance, all of which provide additional opportunities for our musicians to perform.
