General Office Support

Our staff often needs help with general office tasks such as filing, mailings and answering phones.

Concert/Program Assistance

We need ushers and general assistance for our Chamber, Jazz Band, and Young People’s Concerts.

Public Relations/Marketing

We need volunteers to help distribute posters and brochures throughout the Greater Lansing area to advertise our performances.

Special Events

If you enjoy planning parties and events, we would love your help with fundraising events.

Education

Our staff appreciates any assistance for educational programs that go on throughout the season.

Lansing Town Hall

Ruth Ann Brunet, President

Through its Celebrity Lecture Series, Lansing Town Hall has provided support for the Symphony’s annual operations since 1953. Patrons meet at the Eagle Eye Golf Club in Bath Township four times a year at 11 a.m. for a one-hour lecture, followed by an optional luncheon and opportunity to ask the guest speaker questions.

Additional information about the series is available by contacting ticket chair, Margaret Hedlund, 517-323-1045 or the Symphony office, 517-487-5001.

ProSymphony

Paula Weiner, President

The Pro Symphony organization was founded in 1947. Over the years its members have been staunch supporters of the Lansing Symphony serving in various capacities and contributing substantial monies from fundraising projects. Annually four regular meetings are held during the day. Currently, we provide refreshments to orchestra members at dress rehearsals and to chamber concert attendees. We hold a Poinsettia Sale in December and a Geranium Sale in May.

Orders must be received by Friday, April 15th. For questions about the Geranium Sale, please call the LSO Office at 517-487-5001.

Fundraising projects enabled us to make a gift of $10,000 to the Symphony last season. We invite new members to join this group of committed women who enjoy working together in a common cause. Pro Symphony is an excellent opportunity to invest in the Orchestra in efficient, effective and rewarding ways. The annual dues are $20. Please call Mimi LaLonde at 517-372-3112 or the Symphony office for additional information regarding membership or our activities.
