LSO at The Robin Theatre
Join the Lansing Symphony Orchestra for a unique collaboration with the Capital City Film Festival in a performance that explores the complex web of relationships that shape our modern lives. This innovative program combines live string quartet music with video, weaving together themes of personal connections, environmental awareness, and the constant interruptions to connection that we face in the modern world.
Featured works include Sky Macklay’s Maps of Friendship, which reflects on time, distance, and relationships, and Florent Ghys’s Printemps Permanent, Petits Artefacts, and Decorum Impeccables, which explore the intersection of music and multimedia. Jonathan Cziner’s Murderer’s oveRflOW contrasts the triviality of a catchy theme song with the looming threat of climate change, underscoring the delicate balance between human achievements and environmental realities.
Performances take place at The Robin Theatre in Lansing’s REO Town.
