Cameron Jeppson
Cameron Jeppson, a Salt Lake City native, began his violin studies with Asheley Watabe at age three. He is a first prize winner of the Eastern Music Festival and University of Utah Concerto Competitions, the MTNA Solo Competition, and the American Protege Competition with the Pentasuite Piano Quintet. Cameron studied solo and chamber repertoire with Jerry Elias before graduating high school and serving an LDS mission to Atlanta, Georgia, where he met his wife. Cameron continued his studies with Dr. Hasse Borup at the University of Utah, and completed a Bachelor of Music at the University of Michigan studying with Fabiola Kim. He is currently pursuing a Master of Music there with Ms. Kim. Cameron has served as concertmaster of the Eastern Music Festival Orchestra, the Boston University Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Orchestra, and both the University Symphony Orchestra and University Philharmonia Orchestra at the University of Michigan. Cameron performs on an 1830 Pierre Pacherele violin.
