Paula Sastre

Paula Sastre made her solo debut at the age of 13, performing Sarasate in a concert broadcast on Spanish national television. Since then, she has appeared in major venues across Europe and the United States, including the Musikverein in Vienna, Auditorio Nacional and Teatro Real in Madrid, Liszt Academy in Budapest, Bösendorfer-Saal in Salzburg, Reduta Hall in Bratislava, and Severance Hall in Cleveland.
She performs regularly with the Akron Symphony Orchestra, Canton Symphony Orchestra, and CityMusic Cleveland Chamber Orchestra, and has also appeared with historical performance ensembles in Spain, including the Société Générale Historical Performance Camerata and the Viesgo Baroque Camerata. Alongside her performing career, Sastre is currently on the violin faculty at Cleveland State University. She is also a registered Suzuki Association of the Americas teacher and previously taught at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland. Her outreach includes leading initiatives and workshops in collaboration with the Regional Government of Madrid, Fundación Gmp, Asociación Cultural Cristóbal de Morales, and Fundación Telefónica.
She is currently pursuing the Doctor of Musical Arts degree at Michigan State University under Dmitri Berlinsky. She previously studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Ilya Kaler, following earlier training at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía in Madrid in the studio of Zakhar Bron.
